- The Reno Arch
The famous Reno Arch is located in downtown Reno. The current sign is the third version of the iconic landmark. It was fun to walk around downtown and see all the casinos and tourist sights.

2. Rancho San Rafael Regional Park
This is a massive park with big open, grassy fields, a playground, a pond, bathrooms, and picnic tables. The 580 acre park has walking and biking trails, as well as a huge fenced in off-leash dog park area. The dog park did not give me dog park vibes. It felt more like a big open field where people were playing private games of fetch with their dog in their own little corner of the park. I had expected utter chaos with an off leash field of that size, but I was surprised to find that there really wasn’t a crazy amount of dog on dog action.

3. Dorostkar Park
This park has a series of intersecting trails by the river. There was lots of river access from the trail and brush lining the trails for your dog to sniff around in. The park is beautiful, with hills and mountains spotting the background. I saw many handsome blue jays. There is a sign at the entrance stating dogs must be on leash, but it seems to be a popular spot for off leash hiking. This is also a popular trail for runners.
