- Trollstigen Trail
This trail features a 1 mile loop through the woods where you will encounter a giant, wooden troll sculpture. The large parking lot requires a hefty $20 day pass to park, but there is access to multiple trails here. This is a very popular and very crowded spot, even in the middle of winter when we went. Be prepared to encounter lots of kids and other dogs.
2. Downtown Shopping
I found downtown Breckenridge to be very dog-friendly. The majority of the stores allow dogs inside and some even have water bowls and treats for the dogs. Many of the stores also sell collars and leashes. We went to a pet store to grab Max a treat and then went to a dog-friendly toy store where Max picked out his very own stuffed animal and carried it to the register. They even gave him a treat at the register. We had a great time walking around downtown and Max loved all the attention he got.
