The national mall in Washington, D.C. boasts 146 acres of lawn and monuments. While most of the monuments do not allow dogs, Max had a blast walking around the park, chasing chipmunks, and getting all the pets from people. We easily found street parking and there are water fountains dispersed throughout the park where you can fill a water bowl. We even hit up one of the snack bars for a hot dog! Max encountered many chipmunks, birds, and ducks. He even got to see the horses at the stable of the Education Center. We walked over two miles while visiting the national mall, so make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes!
