1. Birch Bluff Trail
Birch Bluff Trail is a 1.9 mile loop that takes you for a shaded walk alongside a creek. I went in the spring and the greens in the forest were bright and lush from all the rain. It was warm out, so the shaded trail was appreciated. Some of the creek access requires you to go a little ways off the trail, but it is well worth it for your dog to get a dip in the creek! Max loved splashing around and exploring. The trail was well labeled and easy to follow. Of note, there is a $10 fee to enter the park.

2. Quantico Falls Trail
Quantico Falls Trail is a 1.9 mile out and back trail that leads to a beautiful waterfall. Just before you get to the waterfall, you will have to cross the creek over some rocks and pick up the trail on the other side. I was able to cross the creek in just my hiking boots (forgot my water shoes). Max had an easier time crossing the rocks than I did. Definitely be careful, as the rocks can be slippery.
