- Horseshoe Bend
The famous Horseshoe Bend is dog-friendly! This 1.5 mile out and back trail has a $10 entry fee. There is a large parking lot and they gave Max a milk bone at the entry gate. The trail proceeds down hill until you reach the lookout point, where there is ample space for everyone to get a good view and spread out despite this being a crowded and popular destination. Make sure to bring lots of water for your dog because this trail is in full sun and the only break from the shade are two covered benches that have been installed along the trail.

2. The New Wave
The New Wave is also known as Beehive Loop. The trail is along rock and so the only markers for the trail are small rocks that have been strategically placed to outline a path. Be sure to wear shoes with good ankle support because you are often walking on uneven surfaces due to the grooved rock. Surprisingly, this trail was not crowded at all. There are beautiful views the whole way around the loop and Max enjoyed climbing around on the rocks.
